Questions to Ask Tarot Cards

A useful tarot question creates room to think. It does not ask the cards to replace consent, professional advice, or your own decision-making.

Open questions

What do I need to understand about this situation?

What is the most useful next step I can take?

Decisions

What matters most as I compare these options?

What am I overlooking in this decision?

Relationships

What can I understand about my role in this connection?

What boundary or conversation would support clarity?

Career

What strength can I use in my work right now?

What practical action would move me toward the kind of work I want?

Self-reflection

What pattern deserves my attention?

What can I practice instead of repeating the same response?

Turn prediction into agency.

Instead of: “Will I get the job?”

Try: “What can I do to present myself clearly and evaluate whether this job fits me?”

Instead of: “Does this person secretly love me?”

Try: “What can I understand about this relationship from the behavior and communication I can actually observe?”

Questions to avoid

Do not use tarot to diagnose illness, decide legal strategy, replace mental-health care, make guaranteed financial predictions, or claim private knowledge about another person.
