40 numbered Minor Arcana
Use number patterns to make forty cards easier to learn.
The number is not the whole meaning. It is a structural clue. Combine it with the suit and imagery, then connect those clues to the question and spread position.
Cross-suit pattern map
Compare the same number across all four suits.
The examples link to the individual card detail view so you can see how one number clue changes when the suit changes.
| Rank | Starter clue | Question to ask | Compare across suits |

Do not force the pattern.
The number clue helps you notice structure. A traditional card focus or strong image detail can add nuance that the shortcut alone cannot provide.
Practice method.
Choose one number. Compare Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Say what stays similar because of the number and what changes because of the suit.
